Despite what you may think…

…I’m not a heretic. I took an online quiz that proves it conclusively:

You scored as Chalcedon compliant. You are Chalcedon compliant. Congratulations, you’re not a heretic. You believe that Jesus is truly God and truly man and like us in every respect, apart from sin. Officially approved in 451.

  1. I see that you also scored %50 in the monophysite category. Does that make you a semi-mono or half-a-phys?

  2. Alex Says:

Oh sweetheart, I always knew you were compliant… 🙂

    You two are hilarious.

I did some reading about monophysitism on that source of all accurate knowledge–Wikipedia–and found out that I’m hardly a monophysite but rather a miaphysite, also considered pretty fishy by the guys at Chalcedon.

This is the Orthodox position (meaning of the Eastern Church) and holds that “that in the one person of Jesus Christ, the nature of Divinity and the nature of Humanity are united in one ‘nature’ (‘physis’), the two being united without separation, without confusion, and without alteration.”

I was a little surprised this is not what the Council of Chalcedon thought. It certainly is what I think.
